Don’t make these Mistakes!

They don’t wear a Heart Rate Monitor
Watch and do what the body builders do
Think that equipment and machines are part of an athlete’s workout… therefore they ->
Don’t involve the core in most exercises
Do 1 exercise at a time before finishing the set and moving on – reason for HR monitor!
Don’t train balance and stabilization
Don’t train multi-joint exercises
Don’t continue to make exercises more challenging or do so by only increasing weight
Don’t train mainly stabilization, then strength, then power just before competition
Train only the show muscles, not the stabilizing minor muscles
Don’t train the 5 pillars of the body
1. Push
2. Pull
3. balance and stabilization
4. rotation
5. raising and lowering their bodyweight
Don’t have an overall plan to bring them into the competition
Don’t have a goal of doing single leg squats
Don’t allow their Heart Rate to recovery between exercises – so I want to push my HR up, but I’m looking for improved recovery between exercises also!
Don’t do anything for flexibility – massage, myofascial release, or mobility exercises
Don’t have a recovery shake/meal right after training
